Hailing from the deep south, I started my design studio in Dallas, Texas out of a pursuit of freedom in my life. I wanted to build a career that allowed me to stretch my creative muscles, meet other ambitious business owners, and work from anywhere in the world. It's my joy to help others pursue a life of freedom and adventure that comes from owning your own business.
I remember the days of sitting behind a computer in an uninspired office and counting down the hours on the clock so that I could go home. I would drink cup after cup of coffee wondering why I couldn't think of new or creative ideas. I thought I had chosen the wrong path in life, and feared that I would never find joy in my work the way I did as a student in design school.
But all of that changed when I started freelancing. Suddenly late nights and early mornings were full of interesting projects. I would race against the clock trying to beat my turn around records. I would dream of new color palettes and illustration ideas. Suddenly, a garden of new ideas replaced the desert of my imagination. I had tasted the freedom of entrepreneurship, and I wasn't about to let go.
Fast forward to today, when I get to meet people who were in that same boat I was in. I get to walk them through the process of realizing their dreams while they create a career they love.
